HSBC is a Facilitator, authorized by the Government of Canada in implementing the Immigrant Investor Program to potential immigrants around the world. While the government has three classes of "business" immigration categories, HSBC's Global Immigrant Investor Program focuses only on the 'Investor' category.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • show that you have business experience
  • you must have legally obtained a minimum household net worth of CDN$800,000
  • pass medical and security evaluations
  • make a CDN$400,000 investment with the Govt. of Canada for 5 years, which can be financed with HSBC

If you don't meet the criteria for Investor class immigration, don't worry. The government has other classes of 'Business' and 'Skilled Worker' immigration as well.
